HOMWE makes a small, coherent group of things: silicone oven mitts, pocketed pot holders, mitt and trivet sets, reversible cutting boards and all-weather door mats. Not a hundred products — a few dozen, and a large proportion of them the same item in a different colour. That is precisely what makes the range awkward to shop.

Search for one of these mitts and you get a wall of near-identical results at near-identical prices, and no way to see what actually separates them. This site exists to answer that: what is the cuff length, how many pieces come in the box, what is it made of, what does the listing say about washing it, and what does it cost. One page per item, with the differences stated plainly, including when there is no difference beyond colour.

How a page here is built

Every page is generated, not typed. A build script reads the listing data for all 35 items and writes the site out as plain files — no database, no content management system, no code running when you visit. That is why the pages load as fast as they do, and why a correction means a rebuild rather than an edit in an admin panel.

Prices, star ratings, rating counts, dimensions, materials, colours and care instructions come from the listings. The prose does not: each product has its own description written for that item, because a template filled in with a colour name would have produced fourteen pages of identical text about mitts, which is no use to a reader.

The rules the build follows

• No number we cannot source. Every figure on the site comes from listing data. If a field is empty, the page omits the row instead of estimating.
• No number the source contradicts. Several listings promise one heat-resistance figure in the title and a lower one in their own bullet points. Rather than choose the flattering one, the site prints no temperature at all and describes heat resistance in words.
• No placeholder passed off as a fact. Two listings have a dimensions field filled with a stand-in value rather than a measurement. Those rows are dropped. One listing gives a four-piece set a piece count of one; the count is read from the product name instead, which the whole catalogue was checked against.
• No borrowed text. One listing’s bullet points describe a completely different product that leaked into it. Nothing from that listing’s bullets is used.
• No invented reviews. There are no customer quotes on this site, with or without names, because we have no customers. Where ratings are discussed, the figures are the counts Amazon shows.

How the site is paid for

Through the Amazon Associates programme. If you follow a buy button and go on to purchase, Amazon pays a commission on that sale at no extra cost to you — the price is the same as it would have been arriving by any other route. That is the entire business model: no sponsored placements, no paid product reviews, no advertising, nothing charged to a manufacturer for a kinder description.

The obvious risk in that arrangement is a site that praises everything. The defence built into this one is that the descriptions are written from listing facts and say when an item is the same as its neighbour, when a cheaper option is the sensible buy, and when the source data is too poor to make a claim. A catalogue that recommends all thirty-five items equally would not be worth reading.
